On behalf of the Officers and the Board of Directors of VCA, I want to welcome you to the Virginia Correctional Association. Your membership automatically includes being able to participate in monthly business meetings, scholarships and regular networking programs for VCA. Our main event will be the annual Training Institute in October. We are happy to help you find something that meets your interests and serves your professional needs.

The Virginia Correctional Association is a time-honored professional organization which goes back 44 years. VCA, Established in 1979 as a state chapter affiliate of the American Correctional Association (ACA). We will continue to highlight the remarkable collaboration and innovation that define both our local chapter and the collective efforts of membership of ACA while providing more focus on the combined goals of both organizations.

I am excited to be the President of VCA. I would like to take this time to welcome you to The Year of Re-envisioning the Future. At the heart of VCA is the belief that together we can maintain an effective criminal justice system by providing training and assisting in the professional growth of all our members. I have found that the more energy I put into the organization, the more I get back, and I am sure you will also find this to be true as you get more involved.
